A minister for 34 years, Mike Cope is the author of five books, including 2011’s Megan’s Secrets, and edited Wineskins magazine for 12 years.  Following a 7-year ministry at the College Church of Christ in Searcy, AR, the Copes moved to Abilene in 1991 where Mike preached at the Highland Church of Christ for 18 years and taught as an adjunct professor at Abilene Christian University for 15 years. He is the Director of Ministry Outreach for Pepperdine University, directing four initiatives funded by the Lilly Endowment: “Compelling Preaching,” “Thriving in Ministry,” “Thriving Congregations,” and “Rural and Small Town Churches.”
